2009 Palmwag Lodge and Hoanib Camp Safari
Day 1. Arrival at Palmwag Lodge which is the 'gateway' to the vast Kunene Region. Palmwag is easily reached by private car or charter flight. Overnight in en-suite bungalows on dinner/bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2. 4wd guided drive from Palmwag Lodge via the village at Sesfontein and into the Hoanib River. This day includes a lengthy game drive along the beautiful riverbed into remote Hoanib Camp. Overnight in fully furnished en-suite meru tents. Full board basis.
Day 3. A full day game drive into the scenic and game rich Hoanib River and surrounding flood plains. This area offers the chance to track desert adapted elephant in the most remarkable setting. Overnight in Hoanib Camp on full board basis.
Day 4. Return journey to Palmwag Lodge via the permanent Ongongo Springs at scenic Warmquelle. Arriving at Palmwag Lodge in the late afternoon in time for a shower and sundowner before supper. Overnight in en-suite bungalows on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
Day 5. Onward journey.
